hi all ,was just wondering if anybody has had any luck stripping down and overhalling a rear brake caliper? the reason i ask is can the handbrake part be removed and greased to stop it from siezing????.front calipers are a walk in the park,but whats inside the rear,s

I have seen photos of a caliper stripped down on a german website and it clearly shows the heavily rusted and corroded adjustment mechanism buried inside that causes all the problems. For what its worth, brand new calipers can be had for as little as

many thanks..i will pass that info on to my work mate whose car it is...ps .his is an 04 plate and has lost 2 due to this problem,yet mine ,a 53 plate,has not had this happen...just luck i suppose
